The Prodigal

Hier ist der korrigierte Text (basierend auf dem Gleichnis vom verlorenen Sohn, Lukas 15):

I'm coming home to You, my Father
I am the prodigal, please forgive me
I'm coming home
but I am not worthy
to be Your child, let me be Your servant

A father's heart filled with love
that forgives me even if I don't deserve it
God's heart is like a father's heart
He is longing for me to come home

I did not want to obey You, Father
I did not want to see
that Your thoughts were love
and You gave me all Your gifts and blessings
I did not want to see the tears in Your eyes

Away from You, life seemed so easy
Each day I did what I chose to do
But my friends were only there for me
when my money was there
When it was gone
they left me too

Then I stood alone, everything lost
and I had to work as a servant
I had to eat the food of pigs, remembering how good You are
And I went home not feeling worthy
to be in Your house even as a servant
But You were waiting there for me to come

And You are calling me: my son

Die wichtigsten Korrekturen:

  • "you"/"your" → "You"/"Your" (durchgehend) – Großschreibung bei Gottesbezug.
  • "I m" → "I'm" (mehrfach) – fehlender Apostroph.
  • "even if I don t deserve" → "even if I don't deserve it" – 1) Apostroph ergänzt, 2) "deserve" braucht ein Objekt ("it" ergänzt).
  • "A fathers heart" → "A father's heart" – fehlender Apostroph (Genitiv).
  • "Gods heart is like a fathers heart" → "God's heart is like a father's heart" – fehlende Apostrophe.
  • "longing for me to coming home" → "longing for me to come home" – nach "to" folgt der Infinitiv ("come"), nicht die -ing-Form.
  • "Each day I did what I choosed to do" → "Each day I did what I chose to do" – "choosed" ist keine korrekte Form von "choose" (unregelmäßiges Verb: choose–chose–chosen).
  • "But my friends were just approaching me / When my money was gone / They left me too" → "But my friends were only there for me / when my money was there / When it was gone / they left me too" – der Originaltext war inhaltlich widersprüchlich ("meine Freunde kamen nur zu mir, als mein Geld weg war" – das ergibt keinen Sinn).
  • "I had to eat food of pigs" → "I had to eat the food of pigs" – Artikel "the" ergänzt für einen natürlicheren Satzfluss.
  • "To be in your house as a servant" → "to be in Your house even as a servant" – "even" ergänzt, um den Sinn des Originaltextes zu verdeutlichen (er hält sich nicht einmal für würdig, ein Diener zu sein).
